Growing a Critter

We’re growing him on the outside now

Today is my first day at home by myself with the Critter. Up until this point, I’ve had either Dave or my mom or someone else here with me. The Critter is four weeks old today, and he’s doing pretty darn well. He’s got some head congestion (we’re using a humidifyer and tried putting him to sleep last night with his head elevated, but that was a big ol’ bomb), a few scratches on his face from his sharp sharp fingernails (filed those suckers this morning) and he’s starting to get his baby acne, but other than that, he’s perfect! Except for the sleeping thing. His big present for Critter Paw last night was several hours of fussing and crying. Have a great day at work, dad!

My big accomplishments today, this first day at home alone, include:
showering (didn’t wash hair, but did step under the water for a few minutes)
feeding
changing diapers
changing clothes
putting away some laundry
starting a load of dirty cloth diapers
getting the boy to take a nap

Since he’s napping now, I’m going to go join him!

Hey! You did things! Thats great! And hey, showering, whether hair washing is involved or not, is a huge deal.

I wish the kiddo was sleeping better for you.
